Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actress and producer. She has gained recognition for her outstanding performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The actress won numerous awards, including an Oscar for the film Piano. Her career in acting started on Broadway through a myriad of Broadway and Off Broadway projects. The actress has had a passion for acting ever since she started school. Her first role in a play in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. The fifth grade was the year that after having mumps she lost hearing in the left ear. She did not allow that to stop her. In college she studied theatre as well as later moving from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her goal. She ran into Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. Her first film role was as an actress supporting the main character in Swing Shift. Over the past three decades Holly Hunter has been on many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
